M + J // Fall Wedding

This past October, I had the honor to be a 'third-shooter' photographer at a beautiful fall wedding.  The theme was a fun mix of country and retro and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun.  I was asked to be mostly a behind-the-scenes shooter, taking more pictures of details and other candid shots.  This was the first wedding I have ever photographed, so it was a growing experience for sure!  Here are some of my favorites from the special day.

Getting Ready//

Marilyn wore a beautiful lacy dress, with red accents to top off a retro look.

The Ceremony //

The ceremony was held in a beautiful, stained-glass church out in the country,

The Reception //

The reception was outdoors, but there was a large, heated tent and plenty of food and games for everyone!  Besides the traditional cutting of the cake, the guests enjoyed participating in a tractor pull, getting their picture taken at the photo booth, and lighting paper lanterns to send into the sky.

Photo Booth //

Also at the reception, there was an adorable, home-made photo booth were couples (or singles) could get their picture taken (by me) and I would print out a photo, on the spot, for them to keep.  Those who were brave enough to try it had a lot of fun.

Tractors //

And what is a country wedding without tractors?

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs.!!!

And for my personal favorite:
